The American Carp Society shares the respect I have for my favorite fish, respect for the natural environment that we get to experience when angling for the carp, respect for everyone sharing this journey young, old, experienced or newcomer. It’s all about the true carp fishing experience, not chasing the media hype.
— Jason Aylott
Outstanding commitment and heart in everything they do.... Quality like this is what separates American Carp Society from the rest. Proud Member.

I joined the American Carp Society because I fell in love with the American lakes when visiting from France. The USA has been in my heart for years...I believe in their cause and everything that they stand for!
— Sebastien Mitard
Both editions so far have excelled at featuring anglers that represent the best the american carp scene has to offer. This is not the typical US carp publication that preaches to the choir with regurgitated information but rather a beacon of progress and excitement.
— Derek W.
Carp on the fly is a test of patience and perseverance …but the cats over at American Carp Society will always have your back, win or lose!
— Daryl Angler
I’ve always loved angling, but carp angling was the start of something else altogether. Like most of us always on the hunt for them. With the continued growth of The American Carp Society, it’s support from all members, seasoned and new alike, it really brings it home to many of us... reminding us that great things can be accomplished in a number of small steps, pulling our resources together, creating some thing for every one. not only to enjoy in the now, but also in many years to come. It’s become very much a family of carp anglers that are spread all over the USA, all working together to not only make The American Carp Society stronger but to also raise awareness to others, create a more educated understanding and just an enjoyable sport that any one can take part in!
— Joel Harber
The American carp society is a quality organization from top to bottom...and fantastic advocates for the sport of wild water carp angling here in the USA.
— James King
It’s a no brainer to join American Carp Society for new or existing anglers. With all of the experienced anglers that are members and the knowledge base that they have, there are many resources available for gaining knowledge and becoming a better angler.
— Frank Kessler
ACS empowers the average man to enjoy the true nature of carping. Just like the Carp, so many of us are misunderstood, and judged by the cover of the book. Unless you open that book, or hook into a 20lb Carp, you will never know what adventure lies ahead. The members of the ACS, just wants to be a part of that journey and help you fill in the contents of your book with memories, knowledge, and camaraderie no other fish can offer.
— Brandon Kim
Not being labelled a ‘club’, the ACS has always been about the promotion of the fish as a gamefish. It’s not the anglers, bait and tackle companies or egos. It’s a refreshing place to be and to become part of where the fish really is the star. They document the history here in the USA and educate on presentation and promotion. The American Carp Society has always made a positive impact in the promotion here, and I’m glad to be part of it.
— Scott Osmond
Having a group of other guys that share the same passion really helps…The shared knowledge from those with more experience really helps the catch rate...It’s a great community!
— John Reynolds
I love to catch them on the Fly…Don’t listen to the snobbery … they will make you a better Fly angler!
— David Howe
The thrill of the catch is what it is all about for me. The American Carp Society is an organization that I am proud to say that I am a member of!
— Warren Smiley
The advantages of being an American Carp Society member are awesome, meet like-minded people that have the same passion for carp as you do, except in different parts of the state or country. It’s a stronger voice than just yours, it’s a group, more like a family across the country, but it’s the same voice. They are spreading the “CARPY” word, by their awesome swag, amazing books, and blogs.

Even into Canada where I am, people know who they are and what they do. There are not a lot of “carpers” in North America and even less fly “carpers”, but ACS (American Carp Society) brings them all together under one roof. My love of carp goes back almost two decades, it’s my primary target species from April to October. Fly fishing for carp makes you a better fly angler. The names within the ACS family are the who’s, who in the carp game, anytime you can reach out and they will help or advise another member.

Whether it’s a murky park lake, huge tidal river or gin clear reservoir, the discovery work finding these venues can soon become an obsession. There’s many water’s in the USA that are not pressured by carp angling and some have never been fished at all. Working with ACS, a company that promotes essential fish care and puts quality first and foremost, really assists with changing peoples opinion to the fantastic sport that is here!
