The ACS MIA MK3 rod is built by hand here in the USA on a custom Century 3.5tc blank by Ryan White, the official rod builder of The American Carp Society.

The architecture of the blank being a combination of machine cut cross ply 35gsm carbon, intermediate and high modulus carbon with a woven 1k-1k outer sheath. Century has optimized the carbon patterns to generate a classic mid to tip action that will assist in super smooth casts and effortless playability. The Century ‘Autoclave’ technology in the blank is specifically designed for action retention and incorporates AT-T (anti twist technology) to aid in directional accuracy and distance. Featuring a set of Century 50MM SIC guides ( 50, 40, 30, 25, 20,16 ) for casting ease and the choice of either a FUJI Graphite DNPSM or Aluminum ALPS reel seat that is made of 61XX light, high strength aluminum with a triangular ergonomic shape for a comfortable grip. The MK3 is also fitted with a built in carbon line clip.

This rod has been specifically designed for the US Carp Angler to handle any style of venue from massive fast flowing rivers to large lakes and small ponds. It is truly at home in any angling situation.

Each rod is handmade to order for our members here in the USA.

The American Carp Society’s Tigernuts are hand grown and harvested by US Farmers and then soaked and ‘hand boiled’ in small batches here in the USA to ensure a high level of quality control before we infuse our special Flavoring.

Soaked and aged in a natural preservative that is also a proven attractant with a hint of flavoring, plus some other special ingredients, these hook baits will go a long way and last a long time.

Each tub contains a season’s worth of hook bait tigers of varying sizes that can be ‘corked’ to be fished neutrally buoyant or ‘popped up’ if required….they have quietly been used by our bait development team and a few friends over the past 2 years to devastating effect.

We have often been asked how we come up with the flavors for our range of bait products. As many of you will know they cannot be purchased anywhere else commercially, as they are all custom blended specifically per our specs and usage. We release just one flavor per year after extensive testing and research and make our decisions on that flavor release based upon a number of factors, including many years of research from those that have spent decades specifically in the field, professional flavorists and chemists that work within the carp fishing industry and biologists and professional Angler’s, that have a vast knowledge of the species and subject matter.

Recently we have been asked if our pure flavors would ever be available to anglers for their own personal use… for ‘pure’ hookbait glugs, additives into their own mixes, boilie recipes and groundbaits.

We are happy to announce the release of the new BARNABY’S REVENGE ‘PURE’ FLAVORS RANGE for the US Carp Angler. This is the actual concentrated flavor that we use in our mixes… nothing added, just the ‘PURE’ flavor in its natural form.

When you remove the lid of the bottle for the very first time you will understand why we go to the lengths of research and time, refining the flavors as we do.

As each set is handmade and goes through a meticulous process to be built. The production time from order to delivery to your door is approximately 5 - 6 weeks.

The ACS Black Dragon Leech is a large fly with a medium weight. Ideal for large aggressive fish in Lake Michigan!
