The American Carp Society 2018 TX Mill Creek Social
We are pleased to announced that the first ever American Carp Society ‘Social’ will be held on Mill Creek Lake in the city of Canton, Texas November 9th -11th 2018. The City of Canton is just 90 minutes East of Dallas and is a stunning unspoiled natural venue holding some beautiful fish.
This combined social and fishing event will be limited to just 20 American Carp Society members and will include a biological fish study for the Lake, slideshow, social lunch as well as 48 hours of continuous fishing. The reason and outcome of the biological study will be announced at a later date. Please be assured that it will specifically benefit all American Society Members.
Participants will receive American Carp Society Merchandise including our pocket-knife, new logo coffee mug and the new ‘American Born and Bred’ T shirt.
Please make sure that you list your shirt size below when registering.
Participants will also receive a new bait being used on the water for inclusion in the event including both pop-ups and bottom baits.
Timetable of events:
The social event and peg draw will be held at Buttermilk’s restaurant in a private room from 11am to 1pm Friday November 9th. Buttermilks Address: 100 W Dallas St, Canton, TX 75103.
Lunch is provided for all members as well as soft drinks. If you would like to bring beer please feel free to do so as alcohol is not served at the premises, however it is allowed at the private function.
The slide show / peg draw and overview of the Lake will be discussed at Buttermilk’s during the social.
We will meet at the Lake at the designated area (to be determined) at 2pm for group photographs.
Where possible we will pair Anglers together to fish double swims.
Each fish you catch will be photographed and measured as part of the biological study. We will be on hand to professionally photograph your captures.
Fishing will officially end at Noon Sunday 11th November.
Please come prepared with enough food and water to sustain yourself throughout the event after the initial meet and greet Lunch/Slide Show/Peg draw.
