‘The ACS MIA MK 3’ CUSTOM Rod - MADE IN THE USA

The MIA (Made in America) series carp rod built in 2004 was the first ever purpose built carp rod in the USA. Taking some of the world’s best technology and components, The American Carp Society teamed with Dr Steve Harrison and master rod builder Nick Buss from the UK to fashion a rod specifically designed for US Carp Anglers. The high demand for the rod let to a MK 2 version being released, which quickly became a favorite amongst US Anglers…Both MK1 and MK2 rods are now sought after collector’s items.

The ACS MIA MK3 rod is now exclusively available from The American Carp Society. Hand-built in the USA by master rod builder Ryan White, the 12ft 3.5tc custom Century blank features 50mm SIC guides and an aluminum ALPS real seat, making it the most technologically advanced carp rod build in the USA to date.

The ACS MIA MK3 is built on a custom Century 12ft, 3.5tc blank with the architecture of the blank being a combination of machine cut cross ply 35gsm carbon, intermediate and high modulus carbon with a woven 1k-1k outer sheath. Century has optimized the carbon patterns to generate a classic mid to tip action that will assist in super smooth casts and effortless playability. The Century ‘Autoclave’ technology in the blank is specifically designed for action retention and incorporates AT-T (anti twist technology) to aid in directional accuracy and distance. Featuring a set of Century 50MM SIC guides ( 50, 40, 30, 25, 20,16) for casting ease and an Aluminum ALPS real seat made of 61XX light, high strength aluminum with a triangular ergonomic shape for a comfortable grip. The MK3 is also fitted with a built in carbon line clip.

This rod has been specifically designed for the US Carp Angler to handle any style of venue from massive fast flowing rivers to large lakes and small ponds. It is truly at home in any angling situation.
